About the Role

This Buyer position reports directly to the Procurement Manager and is based in the Electrification business under the Smart Power division located in Nashik, India.

Primary Responsibilities

• Creating Purchase Orders within the system based on purchase requisitions while adhering to established procedures.
• Confirming delivery timelines with suppliers and tracking their performance in meeting purchase order requirements.
• Negotiating contracts and pricing agreements with key suppliers and regularly updating price lists and terms.
• Proposing frame agreements to management and implementing them upon approval.
• Assessing supplier bids to identify the best value options for procurement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Between 3 to 6 years of practical experience in procurement, purchasing, and vendor relationship management.
• Strong familiarity with electrical and mechanical commodity markets.
• Experience managing inventory and coordinating with suppliers.
• Knowledge of SAP-MM module is a beneficial plus.
• Competent negotiation, clear communication, and effective teamwork skills across departments.
