About the Role

APM is seeking a Business Development Manager to foster and maintain partnerships with employers in the Workforce Australia program. The primary objective is to facilitate sustainable employment placements for program participants. This position is based in Bendigo, Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with employers by building strong relationships and promoting job seekers to potential hiring companies.
  • Establish and nurture connections within employer networks and the broader community.
  • Collaborate closely with Employment Consultants to ensure job placements align with participants' needs.
  • Operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that challenges and motivates.
  • Negotiate effectively with employers to maximize the success rates of employment placements.
  • Ensure compliance and maintain accurate records within the program databases.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Possession of a current driver’s license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • Ownership of a MyGovID at Standard level.
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
  • Ability to pass a Working with Children Check.
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM.

Preferred Experience

Experience in the Employment Services sector is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates with a background in sales—be it retail, hospitality, business development, account management, or outbound calling—and a strong drive for success are highly encouraged to apply.
