Job description
Position Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Business Analyst to take charge of Management Information Systems (MIS), reporting, and process governance throughout the organization. This role goes beyond the routine preparation of dashboards and reports, focusing on unifying and standardizing key processes across multiple departments, including Sales, Pre-Sales, Operations, Finance, Product, Marketing, and Customer Service. The objective is to establish a reliable single source of truth for essential business metrics and data, and to transition manual MIS preparations into automated, SLA-driven reports that provide actionable business insights rather than just raw numbers.
Key Responsibilities
- Map comprehensive end-to-end processes across various departments, assigning clear process owners and defining turnaround times for each step.
- Conduct monthly reviews to identify process gaps, ownership loopholes, and inefficiencies, working proactively with stakeholders to resolve these issues.
- Develop, standardize, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all high-priority workflows, ensuring version control and regular updates as processes evolve.
- Monitor and enhance SOP adherence across departments.
- Define and streamline data flow between departments and systems, clearly specifying data sources and owners to minimize redundant manual entries.
- Establish uniform organization-wide metrics definitions for critical indicators such as Booking Value, Margin, Cost, Collection, Conversion, and Cancellation, ensuring departmental report variances remain below 2%.
- Create and optimize dashboards using Power BI and/or Tableau, providing detailed micro (department-level) and macro (management-level) reporting.
- Deliver timely daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports with at least 95% accuracy.
- Ensure end-to-end data connection across sales to customer trip processes with a booking traceability rate of 98% or higher, and address interdepartmental data inconsistencies.
- Maintain CRM data accuracy and integrity across all reporting platforms.
- Automate recurring reports and workflows leveraging Advanced Excel, Google Apps Script, and BI tools aiming to automate at least 80% of repetitive reports within six months and reduce manual efforts by 70% or more.
- Conduct frequent data quality audits and error checks, achieving mandatory field completion of at least 98% and duplication/error rates below 2%.
- Define service level agreements and turnaround times for vital processes, implement automated exception monitoring, and sustain SLA adherence above 90%.
- Provide proactive and actionable business insights on a monthly basis, highlighting opportunities and risks affecting revenue, margin, productivity, or processes.
- Partner closely with teams across Sales, Pre-Sales, Operations, Finance, Product, Marketing, and Customer Service to gather reporting requirements, align on process ownership, and enhance adoption of SOPs and dashboards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A graduate or postgraduate degree in Business Analytics, Computer Applications, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Commerce, or related disciplines.
- Between 1 to 3 years of experience working in MIS, Business Analysis, Process Governance, CRM Reporting, Business Analytics, or related areas.
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, lookup functions, dashboard creation, and data analysis.
- Practical experience using Power BI and/or Tableau for business intelligence dashboards.
- Familiarity with Google Apps Script or other Google scripting tools for automating reports.
- Fundamental knowledge of HTML and web-based reporting systems.
- Experience managing CRM systems and related reporting tools.
- Exposure to process mapping, SOP documentation, or process governance techniques, including proficiency with flowcharting tools such as Visio or Lucidchart, is a plus.
- Capability to align and define cross-functional data standards and metrics among various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude, with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
