Role Overview
We are seeking an intermediate building surveyor, recently chartered with RICS, to provide expert consultancy advice on commercial real estate. You will support institutional investors, landlords, and corporate occupiers across all types of asset classes. Responsibilities include technical due diligence, management of make good and dilapidations, capital expenditure planning, project monitoring, and preparing schedules of condition. You will also nurture long-term client relationships while collaborating with an experienced national consultancy team.
Candidate Profile
- A degree in building surveying or related field.
- 2 to 5 years of commercial consultancy experience.
- Recently achieved MRICS chartership or actively pursuing the RICS APC, aiming to complete the final assessment within 6 to 12 months.
- Solid knowledge of New Zealand Building Act and Building Code.
- Skilled in defect diagnosis, commercial building pathology, and acquainted with general construction types.
- A desire to engage with New Zealand's most significant projects and clients.
