Role Summary

We are looking for a BIM Coordinator based in Galway to deliver incidental geometry creation, validate information, coordinate models, and generate reports. This role involves collaborating on some of Ireland's largest and most dynamic construction, civil, and facilities management projects, offering extensive opportunities for skill development and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project information models to facilitate sharing within the project team and client authorization, ensuring compliance with project and contract standards.
  • Align project methods and procedures with BAM’s ISO 19650 information standards.
  • Develop and maintain model coordination and mobilization plans, conducting regular reviews.
  • Ensure all stakeholders utilize the Common Data Environment (CDE) following BAM’s information standards, client requirements, and ISO19650 guidelines.
  • Maintain high data quality for building information models, both graphical and non-graphical, and produce necessary reports.
  • Support creation and quality review of project information models, identifying and reporting non-conformities.
  • Implement digital workflows throughout all phases of the asset lifecycle as required by projects.
  • Establish compliant workflows per client needs, BAM standards, and ISO 19650 regulations, ensuring proper planning, documentation, and communication.
  • Contribute to development of the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP).
  • Collaborate with IT and Digital Project Solutions teams to ensure digital systems are efficient and suitable for each stage of the project or asset lifecycle.
  • Address technical challenges promptly to minimize disruptions and maintain productivity.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong team collaborator with excellent time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Keen interest in digital construction and digital facilities management.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO19650 standards.
  • Demonstrates commitment to BAM’s values.
  • Possesses higher education in construction or related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in digital construction or digital facilities management, with familiarity in industry and tendering processes.
