Job Overview
Join Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate to advance your experience in retail and customer service. In this role, you'll deliver outstanding service while upholding Walmart's core beliefs and values. You'll manage the bakery section by maintaining cleanliness and proper organization, support merchandise stocking, and facilitate sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the quality and appealing presentation of bakery items including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
- Keep the bakery department fully stocked and prepared for daily operations.
- Ensure accurate signage and pricing of bakery merchandise.
- Comply with cold chain standards, including thermometer calibration, temperature logging, food handling, proper product rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
- Follow strict food safety, sanitation, and cleaning protocols.
- Execute procedures for ordering, markdowns, clearance, and labeling with accuracy.
- Prepare bakery goods by adhering precisely to thawing and baking instructions to maintain quality and appearance.
- Secure and arrange all bakery displays safely and properly.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage is $16.35 CAD.
