Overview
Join Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate and build your retail experience by delivering excellent customer service aligned with Walmart’s core values. This role involves maintaining the bakery department, assisting with stocking and sales, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and creating an inviting shopping environment.
Key Duties
- Maintain the quality and visual appeal of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
- Stock the bakery area to ensure it remains fully supplied and ready for customers.
- Ensure accurate pricing and proper signage for all bakery merchandise.
- Follow all policies related to cold chain management, thermometer calibration and temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, and sell-by or expiration dates.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Conduct ordering, clearance, pricing updates, labeling, and product markup or markdown processes correctly.
- Prepare baked goods by following thawing and baking instructions precisely to maintain product quality.
- Ensure bakery displays are safely and properly set up.
The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05 CAD.
