Role Overview
As a Backend Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional product team committed to solving customer challenges by delivering robust product features and ongoing support. This role involves end-to-end participation in software engineering phases, including ideation, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively within and across teams to develop and support product functionalities addressing customer needs.
- Engage in all stages of software development, from concept to operational delivery.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code adhering to best practices and clean code standards.
- Promote enhancements in product quality, security, and performance.
- Partner with engineers on architectural layers to design and implement new features.
- Communicate with clients to understand requirements and provide expert advice as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive expertise in Java programming with over 7 years of experience.
- Proficiency in automating testing and deployment processes utilizing technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and self-improvement in digital technologies.
- Capability to decompose large projects into manageable microservices.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Cassandra.
- Proficient in using the Spring framework over several years.
- Focus on security best practices in application architecture.
- Willingness to explore and adopt emerging technologies and trends.
- Fluent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Additional Advantage
Experience with Datadog monitoring tools is considered a plus.
