Job description
About the Company
Wise is a global technology company focused on revolutionizing how people move and manage money across borders with minimal fees, maximum convenience, and rapid transactions. They serve both individuals and businesses who need to send money internationally or make payments abroad, striving to simplify money transfer and reduce costs worldwide.
Team Overview
The Contacts team is a vital part of Wise, responsible for streamlining how users add, find, and manage their recipients. This team oversees the entire user journey related to contacts—from maintaining a scalable platform that supports tens of millions of bank accounts, to developing smart search algorithms and integrating with local payment services such as Pix, all the way to the customer-facing interfaces where users interact with their contacts. The team's systems are critical to Wise's daily operations, as any downtime directly impacts the company’s service delivery.
Working Methodology
The team works agilely, collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and analysts. This cross-functional operation spans both the Tallinn and London offices.

- A strong product focus with a dedication to enhancing customer experience by prioritizing tasks that alleviate customer pain points through data-driven decisions.
- Enjoyment in collaborative problem-solving alongside teammates.
- Experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining clean RESTful APIs.
- Commitment to best coding practices, including code reviews and welcoming constructive feedback.
- Preference for writing testable code and adherence to Test-Driven Development principles.
