About the Role
Join Grant Thornton New Zealand in Christchurch as an Audit Partner, a role designed for an experienced and proactive audit professional. As a partner, you'll manage a portfolio of diverse high-calibre clients representing distinct New Zealand and international business narratives, ensuring exceptional audit service quality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and nurture a portfolio of clients, ensuring delivery of outstanding audit services and maintaining high client satisfaction.
- Lead growth initiatives within your client portfolio and contribute to the firm's wider business development efforts.
- Maintain technical expertise, advise on complex audit issues, participate in training, and mentor team members daily.
- Provide leadership and direction to audit teams, fostering development and implementing solutions to enhance performance.
- Engage in financial planning by setting budgets, establishing team work plans, monitoring targets with the audit service line leader, and reporting progress monthly.
- Mitigate business risk through strict adherence to professional and ethical standards and ensuring high quality work output.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or an equivalent overseas certification. Ideal candidates are current partners at accounting firms, returning audit professionals, or seasoned audit directors who demonstrate a commitment to excellence and business development. You should value team leadership, client engagement, and be looking for a workplace culture focused on people-first values, delivering quality work, and a supportive environment.
