Attendant

Overview

This position is responsible for the accurate loading, unloading, inspection, and timely dispatch of products to customers or distribution centers. The role plays a vital part in supporting warehouse and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks.
• Pick products and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Verify that the correct stock and quantities are loaded onto delivery vehicles.
• Apply FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock rotation methods.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping in the dispatch zone.
• Perform quality inspections on products prior to dispatch.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• Be available to work shifts that may include overtime, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completion of Grade 12 or NQF Level 4, or an equivalent qualification.
• Between one to two years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or dispatch settings.
• Physical fitness sufficient to manage manual loading responsibilities.
• Attention to detail enabling accuracy in a fast-moving work environment.
• Effective teamwork and communication abilities.
