Job description
Job Overview and Core Responsibilities
This role involves working extensively on multiple modules of SAP ECC 6.0 such as MM, FI, CO, WM, SD, PP, HR and/or on SAP solutions like GRC 10.1, GTS 10.1, MDG 7.0, SCM 7.0. The candidate will engage in developing and optimizing SAP systems, focusing on efficient programming and debugging.
Key Technical Qualifications
- Professional experience with at least two different ECC 6.0 modules or related SAP platforms like GRC, GTS, MDG, or SCM.
- Competent in Core ABAP including architecture, reporting, ALE/IDOCs, object-oriented programming, Module pool, SAP Script, Smart Forms, BDCs, ODATA, enhancement methods, and performance tuning tools.
- Knowledgeable in RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) and cloud-centric development practices.
- Experienced in debugging workflows, restarting workflow tasks, and handling workflow-related transactions.
- Familiarity with governance and validation processes, system landscape design, and managing BRF+ rules and workflows.
- Understanding of master data models, data quality management using validation and enrichment techniques, duplicate data search, and data replication via IDocs.
- Basic operational knowledge of master data transactions.
Analytical and Functional Expertise
- Proven skills in analytical thinking with demonstrated experience handling full lifecycle SAP implementations.
- Ability to convert functional specs into technical designs, provide accurate estimate delivery timelines, and impact analysis of new requirements on existing systems.
- Capacity to collaborate effectively within teams and across organizations to achieve successful outcomes.
- In-depth understanding of the interaction between IT, business processes, and human factors.
Educational and Professional Experience
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline is mandatory.
- Between five to seven years of experience implementing SAP solutions using ABAP.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
