We are seeking an Associate Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team focusing on the inspection of butchery and poultry products at our manufacturing site, ensuring all products meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret standard operating procedures and product specifications to understand the quality criteria for butchery and poultry items.
- Sample raw materials and finished goods using appropriate inspection methods including weight measurement, cut specification checks, temperature control, and packaging condition evaluations.
- Operate and calibrate devices such as thermometers, scales, and moisture analyzers to guarantee precise quality and safety assessments.
- Evaluate test outcomes and inspection data to detect discrepancies or non-compliance with established food safety and quality norms.
- Document inspection results, report any non-conformities, recommend corrections, and adhere to established quality assurance and food safety frameworks including HACCP and GMP.
- Foster strong collaboration with production teams to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards throughout all manufacturing stages.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience as a Quality Inspector or similar role in a butchery or poultry processing setting, with solid knowledge of manufacturing quality control protocols.
- Preferred prior hands-on experience with meat cutting or in-depth understanding of butchery and poultry processing standards.
- Mandatory possession of recognized Food Safety Certification such as HACCP, GMP, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with meat/poultry quality inspection procedures and compliance with food safety practices.
- Competency in using and calibrating inspection tools such as thermometers, pH meters, and scales.
- Strong grasp of QA/QC and food safety methodologies.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in conducting inspections.
- Effective problem-solving abilities to identify and address quality concerns.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to work effectively across teams, and the ability to make sound independent decisions.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
