Overview
Inuka Partners is assisting a global private markets investment firm by recruiting an Associate for its Investor Relations team based in Singapore. This position bridges fundraising, investor engagement, and commercial strategy, concentrating on developing and sustaining relationships with institutional investors throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The role offers direct collaboration with senior IR professionals and international investment teams, providing comprehensive exposure to the entire private markets fundraising lifecycle.
This role suits candidates aiming to expand their responsibilities beyond traditional reporting and investor services to engage deeply with fundraising strategies, institutional investor interactions, and the private capital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing fundraising campaigns in the APAC region alongside senior team members focused on investor engagement and relationship management.
- Create and update marketing and fundraising resources such as presentations, investment briefings, and personalized investor communications.
- Manage coordination efforts for the company’s responses to RFPs, DDQs, and other investor requests by collaborating with investment, legal, compliance, and operations teams to collect necessary data.
- Monitor and evaluate the APAC investor environment to identify new investor prospects, emerging market trends, and fundraising opportunities.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of investor relations activities, fundraising status, and pipeline management using the company’s CRM system.
- Support ongoing communication efforts with both current and potential investors through meetings, updates, reports, and follow-up correspondence.
- Help prepare investor communication materials focused on ESG, sustainability, and impact investing.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Asia, Europe, and other global offices to harmonize investor messaging and uphold a unified fundraising approach.
- Facilitate investor meetings, conferences, and other regional business development initiatives.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of the firm’s investment approaches, funds, and unique value propositions to effectively engage in investor discussions.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a closely related field is preferred.
- Between 3 and 5 years of relevant experience in private markets, investment banking, asset management, investor relations, fundraising, or similar areas.
- Background or familiarity with sectors such as infrastructure, energy transition, private equity, private credit, real assets, or alternative investments is considered a plus.
- Strong comprehension of financial principles with the capability to translate investment details into clear and persuasive documents.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, capable of confident engagement with sophisticated institutional investors and internal teams alike.
- Commercially motivated with a sincere interest in capital raising, investor relationship development, and private market activities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle numerous projects, deadlines, and stakeholder groups simultaneously.
- Advanced user of PowerPoint and Excel for creating presentations and analyzing data.
