About the Company and Role

We seek a highly experienced senior manager to lead our Information Security Operations team based in Singapore. This individual will combine deep technical expertise with leadership skills to oversee Security Operations, including threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and enhancements of defense mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive infrastructure security tasks such as vulnerability assessments, server security monitoring and hardening, and managing infrastructure as code.
- Design or review security architecture proposals for infrastructure initiatives across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Ensure compliance levels of cloud security assets through regular scans and manage cloud security operational activities including provisioning, deprovisioning, and hardening.
- Evaluate security implications of new cloud solutions introduced by application development, infrastructure, or business teams.
- Supervise the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team to ensure governance functions for the business unit are maintained effectively.
- Collaborate with the Security Operation Centre (SOC) team to safeguard the organizational environment and deploy new cybersecurity initiatives.
- Serve as primary contact for incident management—from identification through resolution.
- Provide actionable security advice and guide teams through resolving conflicts between business needs and IT security standards without compromising compliance.
- Manage and mentor a team of 8, facilitating ongoing professional development through training programs and promoting strong security practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 15 years’ experience in information security, with a focus on application, infrastructure, and cloud security domains.
- Preferably experienced in security infrastructure operations with hands-on design or architectural review skills.
- Extensive practical knowledge of security management in multiple cloud environments (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and cyber incident handling.
- Certifications are highly desired, including CCSP, Azure DevOps, Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, CISA, and CRISC.
- Strong understanding of the latest security technologies and cyber threat landscapes, particularly within regulated industries.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with strong leadership qualities, integrity, proactive attitude, and ownership.
- Experience in financial services sectors such as insurance, banking, or IT is preferred.
- Technical knowledge of Windows, Linux, and AS/400 operating environments.
