Role Overview
At Nua Healthcare, we're committed to maintaining top-quality services and care standards. Our residential facilities are modern, complemented by appealing outdoor environments. We offer day care programs that are engaging and unique to each individual’s needs.
Our experienced team supports individuals with a variety of complex needs including, but not limited to, Autism, Asperger Syndrome, Acquired Brain Injuries, Challenging Behaviour, Intellectual Disabilities combined with Alzheimer’s or Dementia, Mental Health Rehabilitation and Recovery, and Personality Disorders.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Assist individuals in following their personalized daily plans
- Support clients during community activities
- Help with education, skill-building, and achievement of personal goals
- Assist with living skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and family visits
- Adhere strictly to company policies, standards, regulations, and professional codes of practice wherever reasonably applicable
- Work across shifts that provide 24/7 coverage, including nights and weekends
Skills and Experience Requirements
- No formal qualification required for Assistant Support Workers (training provided)
- Social Care Workers require Level 7/8 degrees in Social Care, Healthcare, or related fields and must be registered with CORU
- Relevant life experience is appreciated though not mandatory
- Positive work attitude and a strong passion for supporting others
- Valid full driver’s license or actively working towards obtaining one
