Assistant Manager - Store Operations

About the Role

Join Circle K as an Assistant Manager at our Tifton, Georgia location. This position offers the chance to develop your leadership skills while working in a vibrant and fast-paced retail environment. You will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring high standards of customer service and merchandising.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with the overall management of store operations.
• Hire, supervise, motivate, and train staff to achieve daily operational goals.
• Manage bookkeeping, cash-handling procedures, and merchandising activities.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards and promote a positive team environment.
• Ensure consistent onsite attendance and operational reliability.
• Uphold safety and security policies within the store.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience in retail and supervisory or management roles preferred.
• Proficiency in employee recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes.
• Strong organizational, communication, delegation, and leadership abilities.
• Capable of problem-solving and empathetic customer advocacy.
• Experience handling food service is beneficial.
• High school or college degree is advantageous.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds for up to 30 minutes per shift, occasionally up to 60 pounds from ground to waist height.
• Ability to push or pull with up to 20 pounds of force and bend or twist at the waist for up to one hour during a shift.
• Manual dexterity for grasping, reaching, and manipulating objects, including ladder use for storage and signage placement.
