Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join KPMG Middle East's expanding Forensic Ethics & Compliance team based in Dubai. This role focuses on delivering impactful ethics and compliance solutions while leading workstreams, managing engagements, and mentoring junior staff. The position offers exposure to compliance transformation, forensic investigations, and risk management within a dynamic and client-facing environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and improve Ethics & Compliance frameworks tailored to client needs.
- Lead compliance transformation projects including designing target operating models.
- Conduct forensic and compliance investigations such as fraud and misconduct inquiries.
- Manage third-party risk and perform due diligence assessments.
- Execute compliance risk assessments, identify gaps, and recommend practical remediation.
- Ensure all deliverables align with both global and local regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on emerging compliance risks, enforcement actions, and industry guidelines, notably in energy and oil & gas sectors.
- Oversee client engagements: plan, budget, maintain quality, meet deadlines, and supervise senior and junior team members.
- Act as a regulatory expert and reference point for the team on compliance matters.
- Support business development by identifying ethics and compliance service opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client pitches.
- Manage stakeholder communications by reporting progress to leadership and fostering working-level client relationships.
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of six years of experience in forensic, ethics & compliance, or risk management fields, preferably within consulting, advisory, or regulated industry contexts.
- Proven capability in managing workstreams or projects and leading junior personnel.
- In-depth understanding of compliance frameworks, investigative processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Professional certifications such as CFE, CCEP, ICA, or equivalents are beneficial.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of Arabic language considered an advantage.
- Experience in the energy or oil & gas industries is highly desirable.
