About Shangri-La Jeddah

Located on the new Jeddah Waterfront beside the Red Sea, Shangri-La Jeddah offers a new benchmark in luxury for the city. Role Overview

The Assistant IT Manager supports the day-to-day IT operations, working closely with the Information Technology Manager to maintain smooth departmental functions. Responsibilities include establishing hardware maintenance programs to handle system interruptions and ensuring data security protocols are followed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain continuous operation of critical hotel applications such as Opera PMS, Infrasys POS, Call Accounting System, Check EAM, and Messaging System, including related hardware.
  • Respond promptly to user issues involving both hardware and software systems.
  • Enforce daily IT operational procedures with adherence to checklists and adapt to new requirements as needed.
  • Develop new software applications and enhance existing systems to improve departmental and hotel-wide operations.
  • Proactively seek and recommend improvements in IT-related areas to management.
  • Embody the Guiding Principles and Core Values upheld by Shangri-La Hospitality.
  • Promote environmental sustainability by reducing waste, recycling, and reusing resources where feasible.
  • Stay acquainted with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, policies, and government guidelines, ensuring compliance in all job-related activities that support the hotel’s CSR objectives.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a senior analyst or programmer within a large-scale company.
  • Qualifications in Computer Science or related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic languages.
