About the Role
The Assistant Department Manager position offers an exciting starting point for a fulfilling career within the Woolworths Group. Assistant Department Managers oversee daily department operations while collaborating across the store to ensure an outstanding shopping experience for customers and a positive work environment for team members. This role is crucial to the store’s smooth operation and integral to our career development pathway.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain an engaging and inclusive team atmosphere that allows individuals to be their authentic selves while consistently delivering excellent customer service.
- Prioritize team safety and customer well-being by enforcing proper safety procedures within the store.
- Develop a solid understanding of department operations to effectively assist the team with daily tasks.
- Work cooperatively with colleagues to achieve shared objectives and foster collaboration.
- Begin to recognize and cultivate your personal leadership style, demonstrating eagerness to grow into future leadership roles.
- Appreciate the importance of cross-store cooperation in delivering a seamless shopping experience to customers.

Work Schedule
Typical roster includes early starts with a four-day work week, contributing to a healthy work-life balance tailored to your needs and business demands:
- Tuesday to Friday: 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM (Thursday until 10:30 AM)
- Saturday: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM
