Role Overview
Alshiaka is seeking a skilled and results-oriented Application Manager to oversee the lifecycle management, implementation, integration, and ongoing enhancement of its vital business software applications. The focus will be on ensuring the dependability, security, and seamless integration of ERP, Point-of-Sale (POS), and other platforms to meet both operational demands and strategic business goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer ERP, POS, and essential business software solutions throughout their full lifecycle.
- Guarantee high availability, stability, optimal performance, security compliance, and data integrity of applications.
- Supervise configurations, system upgrades, feature enhancements, tests, deployment processes, and release cycles.
- Manage ERP modules relating to finance, procurement, inventory, sales, and operations workflows.
- Support and enhance POS system functionality across retail outlets and operational sites.
- Maintain consistent and accurate data exchange between ERP, POS, payment processing, inventory management, financial systems, e-commerce, and reporting tools.
- Lead comprehensive application deployment projects that include requirement analysis, solution architecture, system testing, user training, deployment, and follow-up support.
- Coordinate system integration efforts, data migration, validation procedures, reconciliation, and cutover activities.
- Oversee user acceptance testing and secure formal business approvals prior to production deployment.
- Manage delivery of projects within defined scope, schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Build and lead the application support and implementation team to ensure operational success.
- Collaborate effectively with departments including Finance, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, HR, and IT Infrastructure.
- Administer vendor relationships including software suppliers, implementation partners, service-level agreements, support contracts, licensing, and project deliverables.
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation, integration blueprints, configuration logs, process maps, and user manuals.
- Ensure compliance with internal control standards, auditing requirements, information security policies, and change management protocols.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience managing business applications, ERP, POS, system implementation, or integrations.
- At least 2 to 3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Experience managing ERP and associated applications in environments spanning multiple departments or geographic locations.
- Proven success in delivering application implementation and integration projects.
- Strong knowledge of finance, procurement, inventory, sales, and operational business processes.
- Working familiarity with databases, APIs, web services, middleware technologies, reporting platforms, and data integration methods.
- Solid understanding of project management practices and delivery methodologies.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written); Arabic language skills considered a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in retail, particularly multi-store POS environments.
- Familiarity with leading ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or SAP.
- Experience with payment processing, inventory control, e-commerce, CRM, or loyalty management software.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or ITIL.
- Vendor management experience including contract negotiation, license management, and service agreements.
- Knowledge of cloud-based applications, cybersecurity best practices, business continuity, and disaster recovery frameworks.
