Your Mission
You will lead the design, scaling, and operationalization of our API ecosystem within a regulated, business-critical environment. You are accountable for the ecosystem layer surrounding our APIs with a strong emphasis on partner enablement, developer experience, portal and documentation strategies, API lifecycle communications, and proactive risk monitoring to resolve partner or customer issues before they arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously define and evolve the operating model for our API ecosystem.
- Own the developer portal experience based on Azure API Management (APIM), making it the primary self-service entry point for partners.
- Establish clear processes for API lifecycle management, including versioning and deprecation communications with partners.
- Drive adoption of canonical APIs and practical standards through influence and consensus-building without formal authority.
- Proactively identify ecosystem risks and coordinate communication with partners during changes or disruptions.
- Design and implement external test and sandbox environments for partners to enhance integration quality.
- Serve as the key technical ecosystem contact for engineering teams of our partners, integrating regulatory demands into ecosystem processes.
- Incorporate AI-powered workflows into daily tasks, such as documentation generation, API consistency checks, and partner analytics.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience building or scaling API ecosystems or developer platforms.
- Strong foundational knowledge of APIs, integration patterns, and developer experience principles.
- Demonstrated ability to align diverse teams across boundaries without direct authority.
- Excellent technical communication skills, including writing detailed documentation and guides and verbal stakeholder engagement.
- Experience working in regulated environments is advantageous.
- Fluency in German and very good command of English.
Benefits and Work Environment
- Permanent employment contract within an international company with occupational pension plans accompanied by personal advisory services.
- Work-life balance featuring 30 days of vacation, flexible working hours, and designated days for remote work to fit your lifestyle.
- Opportunity to work abroad for up to 20 days within a twelve-month period.
- Structured onboarding, continuous learning opportunities, international career prospects, and access to both internal and external training programs.
- Health and social engagement programs including JobRad, life and pension counseling, an additional volunteer day to support social projects, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
- Modern workspaces equipped with advanced IT resources, shared desk systems, complimentary beverages, and conveniently located office premises.
- Team spirit fostered through staff events and referral programs, featuring short decision paths, flat hierarchies, and an environment encouraging innovation.
