API Automation Test Engineer (2-13 years)

About the Role

Infosys is seeking proficient API Automation Test Engineers with solid experience in Postman and Rest Assured tools. The role involves testing and validating REST APIs and crafting automation frameworks to ensure robust quality of software applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain API automation test scripts to facilitate effective testing.
• Validate API requests, responses, status codes, and schema compliance comprehensively.
• Conduct thorough functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of APIs.
• Efficiently identify, document, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to align on quality goals.
• Generate detailed test reports to support Agile development teams.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive hands-on experience in API Testing using Postman and Rest Assured frameworks.
• Proficiency in Java programming to support automation activities.
• Strong understanding of RESTful Web Services concepts including HTTP methods, JSON, and XML data formats.
• Experience building API Automation Frameworks.
• Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Maven, and version control systems like Git.
• Experience with defect tracking platforms such as JIRA.
• Exposure to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools, notably Jenkins.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database validations.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a B.Sc, B.Tech/B.E., or B.C.A. degree in any specialization.

The role is open across Pan India locations with a preferred notice period of immediate to 30 days.
