Department Overview

Innovation fuels our company, and in 2023 we invested over US$850 million in research and development. Role Overview

We are looking for a driven Android Software Engineer to create innovative, mission-critical software for our Android-enabled two-way radios. This role emphasizes Android platform development and offers opportunities for professional growth within a technology-forward, collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Science.
• Understand software engineering fundamentals with strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Be knowledgeable about the entire software development life cycle and experienced in delivering end-user products or services.
• Proficient in Java or Kotlin programming languages.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Linux kernel concepts such as memory management, interrupt/event handling, synchronization, CPU management, subsystem infrastructure, and file system operations.
• Experience with the Android platform and its framework components like Bluetooth, sensors, widgets, and services.
• Android development expertise using Java or Kotlin, including working knowledge of Android SDK, NDK, and Android Studio.
• Competency in C/C++ programming.
• Understanding of various Linux device driver frameworks.
• Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics and design documentation.
• Experience with test equipment including hardware debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with automated build systems, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.
