Job Overview
We are partnering with a leading global manufacturer of advanced "smart" beds focused on improving sleep quality through innovative technology and digital solutions. This dynamic team strives to enhance health and well-being by delivering the best possible sleep experience, combining expertise in adjustable beds, sleep science, sensor technology, and advanced data algorithms.
Primary Responsibilities
- Architect and develop high-quality native Android applications.
- Produce clear, efficient, and well-documented codebases.
- Participate constructively in peer code reviews.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams within an Agile development framework.
- Build, improve, and debug native Android software components.
- Implement sophisticated features and manage complete application lifecycles.
- Ensure applications adhere to high standards in performance, security, and reliability.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in native Android app development.
- Proficiency in Android architecture and design patterns.
- Experience developing customer-facing commercial applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Strong command of Android frameworks, component lifecycle, offline storage solutions, multithreading, and performance tuning.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and consuming backend services.
- Excellent Object-Oriented design and programming capabilities.
- Sound understanding of HTTP protocol, RESTful services, and mobile databases.
- Background in application development, debugging, and architecture with a high productivity record.
- Knowledge of mobile security challenges and best practices including security integration.
- Familiarity with performance analysis tools targeting mobile performance and latency improvements.
- Awareness of current trends in mobile technologies, wireless networks, and information security.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills essential for team engagement.
