AI Prompt Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a motivated AI Prompt Engineer, ideal for freshers with up to one year of experience, to join our AI team in Bengaluru. This role focuses on crafting, evaluating, and refining prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, Claude, and Gemini, aiming to develop robust AI-driven applications and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and enhance prompts tailored for various LLMs including GPT, Claude, Gemini, and other foundational models.
• Design prompts addressing diverse applications like text generation, data extraction, classification, summarization, reasoning, and interactive conversational AI.
• Conduct systematic testing of prompts to assess output accuracy, consistency, and relevance.
• Develop reusable and structured prompt templates and components.
• Collaborate with AI/ML and software development teams to integrate prompts into AI-powered solutions.
• Detect and rectify hallucinations, inconsistencies, and failure points in LLM-generated responses by refining prompts.
• Maintain test cases and evaluation datasets to monitor prompt effectiveness.
• Experiment with advanced prompting techniques such as few-shot prompting, chain-of-thought variations, structured outputs, role-based prompts, and chaining of prompts.
• Document experimental setups, outcomes, prompts, and best practices.
• Keep abreast of latest advances in Generative AI, LLM technologies, AI agents, and methodologies in prompt engineering.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and Large Language Models.
• Experience using AI platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or equivalent.
• Capability to compose clear, organized, and detailed instructions.
• Attention to detail with an ability to discern subtle differences in AI outputs.
• Openness to iterative experimentation and testing.
• Basic knowledge of JSON, API interaction, and data structures is preferred.
• Introductory Python programming skills are a plus.

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, or related fields.
• Applicants from other areas with solid practical experience in Generative AI will also be considered.

Additional Advantages

• Hands-on projects with LLMs like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.
• Knowledge of AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex.
• Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI agents.
