About the Role
Join AIA Singapore's Sales & Marketing team as an Account Manager focused on sustaining and expanding renewal growth for corporate insurance accounts within the tied agency distribution channel. You'll collaborate closely with Financial Service Consultants (FSCs) and Agency Leaders to foster robust relationships, encourage cross-selling of individual policies, and provide key support in forecasting and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve prescribed renewal growth targets and key performance indicators for the Agency Channel.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with FSCs and Agency Leaders to retain and expand corporate insurance accounts.
- Motivate agents to offer individual policies to their corporate clients in addition to company insurance coverage.
- Initiate and conduct in-person meetings with Agency Leaders and FSCs during monthly agency gatherings.
- Provide precise and timely renewal status updates and growth data for management reporting and sales forecasting.
- Deliver renewal terms and proposals for additional coverage lines adhering to guidelines on risk, business acceptance, and underwriting profit margins.
- Ensure prompt and accurate submission of renewal employee data and related documentation; liaison with internal operations to resolve service issues.
- Follow up quickly on outstanding policy premium collections to comply with internal credit controls.
- Collaborate with FSCs to present corporate sales pitches and conduct employee communication sessions for existing corporate clients.
- Participate in scheduled sales training and professional development to maintain mandatory CPD hours and ensure a Fit & Proper status.
- Contribute to special projects like product/service enhancements and market analysis as assigned.
- Attend corporate events which may occur outside regular office hours.
- The role is based at AIA agency locations in Alexandra and Tampines.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a tertiary degree, diploma, or equivalent industry qualifications.
- Certifications such as CMFAS M5, M9, HI, BCP, PGI, and ComGI are advantageous.
- Have 3 to 5 years of experience in sales and marketing within Employee Benefits or Group Insurance.
- Strong familiarity with Life and Health insurance products.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly organized with acute attention to detail.
- Ability to confidently handle challenging situations.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
- Competent in managing multiple tasks under pressure and deadlines.
- Skillful in anticipating issues and proposing solutions.
- Excellent communication skills across email, phone, and in-person interactions.
- Effective negotiator with persistence and resourcefulness to reach resolutions.
- Professional appearance and demeanor; adept at engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Meticulous, service-focused, and a strong team collaborator.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
