About the Role
The Account Executive is a field sales position focused on retaining clients and fostering growth. This role requires developing strong, trust-based relationships with C-Level executives and their teams, gaining an in-depth understanding of critical client priorities, and ensuring clients gain maximum value from their Gartner engagements. The role involves recognizing opportunities to enhance value delivery using alternative product offerings.
Account Executives are assigned territories comprising Large Enterprise clients. In the End-User Large Enterprise segment, clients have annual revenues exceeding $1 billion, whereas in the Tech Vendor Large Enterprise segment, clients generate over $500 million in annual revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive value realization with existing Gartner clients to maximize their return from Gartner services.
- Identify and cultivate client growth opportunities, including cross-selling and upselling.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of high-quality sales prospects to meet sales targets and KPIs.
- Take complete ownership of quota achievement within the assigned territory.
- Manage complex, high-value sales within diverse and matrixed business environments.
- Lead forecasting and account planning efforts on monthly, quarterly, and annual bases.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in complex and intangible sales environments.
- Experience engaging with and influencing C-Level executives.
- A strong record of consistently meeting or surpassing sales targets.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, own, and forecast multifaceted sales processes.
- Willingness to travel as necessary for the role.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
