Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to our Letter of Authorization (LOA) team, focused on building a system for self-service onboarding of held-away accounts for enterprise clients. This system will leverage our application framework and be designed with cloud-native architecture principles. As a team member, you will collaborate with skilled engineers to design, develop, and deploy systems critical to Addepar’s expansion and growth on a global scale.
Responsibilities
- Develop clean, efficient, and well-tested code following coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in designing scalable, reliable, and maintainable software features and systems.
- Gain a deep understanding of architectural patterns and ensure new developments align with established architectures.
- Focus mainly on backend development including working with databases through the software development lifecycle.
- Engage in comprehensive code reviews to maintain code quality and share expertise.
- Resolve complex technical problems by delivering innovative solutions.
- Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks to enhance application efficiency and speed.
- Contribute to DevOps practices, including continuous integration and delivery pipelines and monitoring systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in backend software engineering.
- Proficiency with object-oriented programming languages, especially Java.
- Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, logging, and monitoring tools and practices.
- Expertise in any of the technical requirements mentioned is advantageous.
- Experience using public cloud platforms, with a preference for AWS.
