Senior Cloud Software Engineer

Position Overview

Join CompuSafe Data Systems AG as a Senior Cloud Software Engineer developing and enhancing cloud-native components and services primarily using Go (Golang) within Kubernetes ecosystems. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing Kubernetes-native solutions emphasizing scalability, stability, and performance. You will work on Cloud API components to enable integration and deployment of cloud-native services as part of the ODC Fog Software Stack and maintain automation and deployment scripts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and improve cloud-native services and components using Go in Kubernetes environments.
• Design, implement, and fine-tune Kubernetes-based solutions prioritizing scalability and reliability.
• Enhance Cloud API components for seamless integration of cloud-native offerings within the ODC Fog Software Stack.
• Create and maintain shell scripts to automate deployments and operational processes.
• Integrate and configure Talos Linux including machine configurations, extensions, and lifecycle management.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and continually optimize complex cloud and Kubernetes infrastructures following best practices.
• Collaborate closely with architecture, development, and DevOps teams to progressively evolve the platform.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in (business) informatics or a related field with practical work experience.
• Several years of hands-on experience developing production software with Go.
• Strong practical expertise in Kubernetes, including a deep understanding of its architecture and core concepts.
• Experience in developing and deploying Kubernetes operators.
• Solid skills in developing and integrating cloud-native APIs and service-oriented architectures.
• Proficiency with shell scripting to automate build, deployment, and operational processes.
• Experience working with Linux systems, preferably Talos Linux.
• Excellent German language skills at level C1 minimum along with intermediate English proficiency (B2 minimum).
