Retail Supervisor

About the Role

At Screwfix, we are dedicated to supporting tradespeople by providing a comprehensive range of over 60,000 products across more than 900 stores, coupled with leading digital services. As a Retail Supervisor, you will play a crucial role by actively leading your team both in customer-facing and warehouse operations, ensuring high standards and delivering excellent service.

Our store hours are:
Monday to Friday: 7am - 8pm
Saturday: 7am - 6pm
Sunday: 9am - 4pm

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the store team by setting a strong example through hosting duties, understanding customer needs, and guiding them to appropriate products to facilitate easy and satisfying shopping experiences.
• Ensure smooth store operations including handling cash reconciliations, addressing customer inquiries, maintaining audit compliance, and managing stock effectively.
• Foster teamwork and a positive work environment that combines pride in the store with an element of fun.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a supervisor or duty manager overseeing a small team in a dynamic, fast-paced retail setting.
• Strong expertise in delivering excellent customer service and converting these interactions into sales opportunities.
• Curious and continuously striving to improve processes and outcomes.
• Passion for the business and its goals.
• Approachable, adaptable, dependable, honest, and motivated to contribute hard work.
