Project Manager - Cloud

Job Overview

We seek an experienced Project Manager to oversee cloud implementation projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with organizational standards. This role involves guiding projects from inception through deployment and ongoing support, handling stakeholder communications, and managing risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive project schedules with clear objectives, deadlines, deliverables, and success metrics.
• Lead full project lifecycles covering requirement analysis, design, execution, testing, deployment, and post-launch phases.
• Monitor project progress, provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders, and proactively manage risks and challenges.
• Act as the primary liaison among internal teams and external partners throughout the implementation process.
• Coordinate efforts across engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and business units to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Collaborate with solution architects and engineers to guarantee alignment with private cloud technologies such as OpenStack, VMware, and Kubernetes.
• Oversee infrastructure setup, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), identity management, and compliance frameworks.
• Manage relationships with vendors, cloud service providers, and third-party integrators as necessary.
• Allocate and balance workloads across internal and external teams to achieve project milestones efficiently.
• Ensure strict compliance with data sovereignty, privacy, security policies, and enterprise standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least five years' experience managing IT infrastructure or software deployment projects, with a minimum of three years focused on cloud platforms.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
• Practical knowledge of private cloud environments such as VMware, OpenStack, Red Hat, and Nutanix.
• Familiarity with both agile and waterfall project management methodologies; experience with hybrid models is advantageous.
• Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC), containerization, automation tools like Ansible and Terraform, and orchestration services.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
• Ability to adapt to change in regulated and high-security settings.
• Capable of juggling multiple priorities and delivering under pressure.
