Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Program Director to lead and manage significant programs, overseeing numerous projects and workstreams to ensure successful outcomes aligned with company goals, timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks. This role offers a chance to lead complex projects within an international, fully remote context.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and set the direction for company-wide programs.
• Establish program objectives, define scopes, set priorities, specify deliverables, and determine success measures.
• Create and maintain detailed program strategies, roadmaps, and execution plans.
• Supervise multiple concurrent projects, workstreams, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Set up governance structures, protocols, and reporting mechanisms for programs.
• Coordinate with senior leaders across departments including Operations, Finance, Technology, HR, and Sales.
• Keep programs aligned with overarching business strategies and priorities.
• Track progress, milestones, dependencies, and key deliverable completion.
• Oversee budgets, allocate resources, manage schedules, and assess financial performance.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and potential opportunities at the program level.
• Develop contingency and mitigation plans to handle significant risks.
• Lead steering committees, program evaluations, and executive briefing sessions.
• Provide regular performance reports to senior leadership and critical stakeholders.
• Foster effective communication between project teams and business units.
• Define and monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and benefits realization.
• Ensure individual projects stay aligned with the overall program goals.
• Review project plans, budgets, resource needs, and schedules.
• Manage changes in scope and evaluate impacts on program goals and resources.
• Coordinate efforts among internal teams, consultants, vendors, contractors, and strategic partners.
• Verify that program outputs meet quality, compliance, and company standards.
• Support organizational change management and stakeholder engagement.
• Implement standardized program management methodologies, templates, and reporting tools.
• Promote use of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods as suitable.
• Resolve complex conflicts at the program level and eliminate obstacles to delivery.
• Conduct program assessments, lessons-learned exercises, and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain thorough documentation, governance, controls, and audit trails.
• Identify ways to enhance operational efficiency and program effectiveness.
• Cultivate strong relationships with senior executives and other key stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop project managers and program team members.
• Ensure programs realize measurable business value and achieve intended outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, IT, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 8 years experience in program management, project leadership, operations, or similar senior roles.
• Proven track record managing complex, multi-project programs and cross-functional initiatives.
• Deep knowledge of program governance, portfolio coordination, and strategic delivery practices.
• Experienced in managing budgets, resources, schedules, risks, and overall performance.
• Strong leadership capabilities and skillful in managing executive stakeholders.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of project and program management methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid development frameworks.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Adept at communicating effectively with executives and operational teams alike.
• Well-versed in financial and commercial principles related to program management.
• Proficient with program/project management software and reporting platforms.
• Outstanding organizational skills to juggle multiple priorities.
• Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Capable of independently leading distributed international teams.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or PRINCE2 are beneficial but optional.
• Experience collaborating with multicultural and international teams is advantageous.
• Familiarity with UAE/GCC work environments is a plus but not mandatory.
