Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete acquisition process of new vendors, including suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and factories.
• Identify and map key suppliers across prioritized material categories to develop a targeted vendor list essential for the platform.
• Initiate and nurture relationships with vendors using direct outreach, onsite visits, networking events, and industry trade fairs.
• Present iBuild’s value proposition convincingly to potential suppliers and secure signed contracts.
• Negotiate competitive commercial terms including pricing, margins, discounts, payment terms, and delivery commitments balancing buyer benefit and business sustainability.
• Assess and qualify vendors based on pricing, product portfolios, production capacity, quality certifications, delivery reliability, and commercial trustworthiness.
• Conduct market benchmarking to ensure vendor pricing remains competitive.
• Address gaps in categories and pricing by onboarding vendors requested by buyers.
• Coordinate initial onboarding activities ensuring all agreements, documentation, pricing data, and catalogs are complete before transfer to Vendor Relationship Managers.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to align vendor acquisition with real buyer demands and priorities.
• Maintain up-to-date vendor pipelines in CRM systems and provide regular reports on acquisition progress, coverage, and negotiated terms.
• Continuously track trends in construction material markets, pricing fluctuations, and competitor/vendor movements.
• Represent iBuild at relevant trade events and exhibitions to expand and strengthen the supplier network.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Demonstrated procurement or purchasing experience within construction or finishing materials, ideally in contracting, supplying, distributing, or manufacturing environments.
• In-depth knowledge of construction and finishing material types, specifications, brands, and prevailing market prices.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure advantageous commercial and payment agreements.
• Established or swiftly developable network of Saudi Arabian suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors.
• Competence in evaluating vendors on pricing, capacity, quality, and reliability to make well-informed decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective engagement with factory owners, sales managers, and decision-makers.
• Organizational discipline, expertise in CRM tools, and accurate pipeline management capabilities.
• Familiarity with product catalogs, data management, pricing structures, and ERP systems.
• Fluent in Arabic and proficient in English.
• Possession of a valid Saudi driving license and availability for frequent travel to vendor sites and factories.
• Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a dynamic startup atmosphere with evolving operational processes.
