Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our team at Virtusa in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in backend development focusing on Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities and Required Expertise
- Develop and maintain backend applications primarily using Java 8/11 and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Design and implement RESTful web services and APIs adhering to best practices in API security and HTTP standards.
- Collaborate effectively in Agile project teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Preferred Additional Skills
- In-depth experience with production-grade backend development technologies including REST API frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Strong capabilities in API design, including request/response structuring and security measures.
- Exposure to artificial intelligence integration, such as deploying AI model inference in backend environments.
- Familiarity with large language model (LLM) frameworks such as Langchain or Langgraph.
- Proficiency managing SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB, with an emphasis on schema design and query tuning.
- Experience deploying backend services on cloud platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
- Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes, alongside continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
