Role Overview

The Deli Supervisor position at Centra Ballinrobe is focused on ensuring that the deli department functions smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality products and outstanding service to customers.

Candidate Profile

  • At least one year of supervisory experience specifically in fresh food.
  • A minimum of two years working in roles with significant fresh food exposure.
  • Certified training in HACCP and food safety, with practical experience in maintaining these standards.
  • Capability in ordering deli supplies and managing waste in fresh food departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word.
  • Strong numerical aptitude.
  • Competence in staff scheduling and budget adherence.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for the food industry, with creativity and innovation in fresh offerings.
  • Customer-focused leadership aimed at building loyalty and quality customer relationships.
  • Ability to inspire, lead, and encourage team members through support and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate Centra’s brand values: being proud, energetic, imaginative, and community-oriented.
  • Prepare and maintain the deli counter's presentation and layout.
  • Proper execution of planograms in the department.
  • Minimize departmental waste and shrinkage.
  • Introduce new fresh food ideas based on research and competitor benchmarking.
  • Share knowledge, recipes, and recommendations to convey passion for quality food to customers.
  • Provide comprehensive training for all new deli employees.
  • Address customer inquiries efficiently and professionally, complying with store policies.
  • Embrace and participate in new initiatives and improved work methods.

Working Schedule

The role involves a five-day workweek totaling 35 to 40 hours, primarily Monday to Friday, with some weekend availability expected to maintain standards.
