Job description
About WeeFin and Our Platform
WeeFin is a European SaaS company specializing in sustainable finance solutions. Our platform supports asset managers, asset owners, banks, and insurers in navigating the increasing complexity of ESG data and regulations, such as SFDR, CSRD, and EU Taxonomy, transforming compliance into a competitive edge. With a growing client base of leading financial institutions, we operate at the intersection of ESG regulations and investment process digitalization.
Role Overview
We are expanding our commercial team and seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to drive growth in Europe and North America. As a BDR, you will manage the complete top-of-funnel sales process, including identifying and engaging decision-makers, qualifying leads from outbound and inbound sources, conducting discovery calls, and qualifying opportunities using the MEDDIC method before handing them to Account Executives at the Benefits Validation phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and create targeted lists of financial institutions across Europe and North America, identifying relevant decision-makers and influencers.
- Conduct personalized, multi-channel outreach using LinkedIn, email, and phone, balancing outreach volume with relevance.
- Engage senior executives such as Heads of ESG, CIOs, Heads of Compliance, and CFOs, leveraging insightful messaging linked to their regulatory and investment challenges.
- Represent WeeFin at industry events and conferences to network and generate sales leads.
- Qualify leads through the MEDDIC framework, evaluating fit, urgency, budget, and organizational decision-making.
- Perform discovery calls to delve into prospects’ ESG data challenges, compliance needs, and evaluation timelines.
- Convert qualified prospects into sales opportunities and coordinate smooth handover to Account Executives.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to align strategies, messaging, and prospecting efforts.
- Participate in pipeline reviews and contribute to forecasting sales outcomes.
- Gather and communicate market intelligence and customer insights to marketing and product teams for refining target profiles and messaging.
- Maintain accurate and current data in HubSpot, Google Drive, and Notion related to activities and sales opportunities.
- Track key performance indicators like outreach volume, response rates, meetings scheduled, and pipeline development.
- Utilize LinkedIn Sales Navigator for research, mapping buying committees, and list building.
Success Milestones
- Within six months, establish a structured outbound process, build a prospect database, and consistently deliver qualified deals.
- Within twelve months, meet pipeline contributions for Europe and North America and gain deep knowledge of our ideal customer profile and sales qualification process, expanding your network in sustainable finance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years’ experience in BDR, SDR, or outbound sales roles, preferably in B2B SaaS or fintech sectors.
- Fluent or native-level English (C2 proficiency) to communicate effectively across international markets.
- Proven ability in outbound prospecting, comfortable engaging via emails, phone, and LinkedIn, achieving meaningful responses.
- Strong resilience and determination, acknowledging rejection as feedback rather than failure.
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to craft personalized cold outreach messages.
- Keen interest in ESG and sustainable finance, motivated by regulatory developments and long-term impact.
- Experience engaging senior-level stakeholders confidently and credibly.
- Highly organized, data-driven, and analytical, tracking efforts and adjusting strategies accordingly.
Preferred Skills
- Background prospecting in financial services such as asset management, banking, or insurance.
- Knowledge of ESG regulations including SFDR, CSRD, and EU Taxonomy.
- Familiarity with sales tools like HubSpot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Proficiency in French is advantageous for internal collaboration with our Paris team.
Career Development
Successful BDRs have opportunities to advance into Account Executive roles, managing entire sales cycles and client portfolios, or to expand within business development, taking on higher responsibilities and strategic roles across Europe and North America. Comprehensive mentorship and structured training on our sales approach and ESG domain are provided.
