Role Overview
The Assistant Manager / Manager of Internal Communications is pivotal in boosting employee engagement, cultivating pride in the brand among staff, and nurturing a well-informed and cohesive workforce. Reporting to the Internal Communications Lead, this role involves strategizing, designing, and executing comprehensive internal communication programs aligned with the company's overall narrative and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and carry out strategic internal communication plans that support organizational goals, key announcements, and corporate initiatives.
- Provide expert advice to internal teams to maximize employee engagement across communication platforms.
- Coordinate and execute important company events like quarterly town halls and the annual leadership retreat, including conducting feedback surveys post-events.
- Create impactful content in multiple formats that reinforce the company mission and strategic priorities, collaborating with various divisions to enhance messaging.
- Manage communication channels, including cultivating the intranet as an active platform for internal community building.
- Support communication during times of change and crisis by preparing key messages, announcements, and FAQs.
- Monitor and analyze communication initiatives through metrics such as intranet activity, email engagement rates, and employee feedback, leveraging data to continually enhance communication effectiveness.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for candidates holding at least five years of work experience in communications or marketing, ideally within the media or public sectors.
- Prior experience specifically in Internal Communications is considered advantageous.

- Exceptional proficiency in spoken and written English, capable of customizing communication to diverse audiences.
- Strong project management abilities with a track record of handling multiple priorities and delivering timely results in a fast-paced setting.
- Results-driven mindset with analytical skills to interpret data and engage stakeholders at various levels.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
- Highly self-motivated with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with Canva and video production tools is a plus.
