VMC Machine Operator

Role Overview

The VMC Machine Operator is responsible for validating and optimizing machining jobs on Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines. This role involves defining and implementing new machining processes based on sound engineering principles, ensuring process consistency and defect-free production.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate and prove out machining jobs on VMC equipment.
• Design, characterize, and spearhead the deployment of new manufacturing methods on the machine.
• Apply sound engineering and validation methodologies to process setup and design.
• Develop robust processes aimed at zero-defect outcomes.
• Monitor and control process parameters to ensure quality.
• Drive continuous process enhancements while mentoring team members.
• Investigate new materials and production methods for potential application.
• Maintain and organize engineering documentation and records.
• Conduct physical testing on engineering prototypes to validate designs.
• Generate innovative and cost-efficient solutions to improve manufacturing workflows.
