Technical Proposal Specialist – Process Equipment

About the Role

Palomba General Trading LLC is seeking a Technical Proposal Specialist focused on Process Equipment to support the execution of industrial equipment projects throughout the GCC region. This position serves as a key liaison among customers, commercial teams, and global equipment manufacturers, translating industrial process demands into clear, technically precise inquiries and proposals. Key industries include food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and specialty ingredient production involving technologies such as mixing, homogenisation, powder processing, milling, dosing, and material handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret customer process needs and technical specifications.
• Gather and organize detailed technical data including product specs, batch sizes, throughput, particle dimensions, viscosity, temperature, and targeted process outcomes.
• Develop well-structured technical inquiry packages for international equipment suppliers.
• Identify and resolve missing technical details prior to project submission for engineering evaluation.
• Facilitate technical discussions among customers, manufacturers, and engineering teams.
• Assist in drafting and revising both technical and commercial proposals.
• Compare and evaluate equipment concepts and alternative processing solutions.
• Review supplier quotations, technical specifications, and supporting documentation.
• Support technical dialogues related to mixing, homogenisation, milling, dosing, powder handling, and process integration.
• Organize and coordinate customer meetings with equipment producers and application experts.
• Manage projects from initial inquiries through technical assessment, quotation phases, and commercial negotiations.
• Maintain comprehensive records of project particulars, technical revisions, and client feedback.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Food, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
• Prior experience in technical proposals, industrial equipment, machinery, project engineering, application engineering, or technical sales is advantageous.
• Capability to comprehend technical specifications, process prerequisites, and equipment documentation.
• Strong analytical thinking and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication skills bridging commercial and engineering stakeholders.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Experience within food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, chemical, or specialty ingredient industries is preferred.
• GCC industry experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

Offer Details

• Full-time role based in Doha, Qatar.
• Indicative monthly salary ranging from QAR 10,000 to 15,000 depending on experience and technical proficiency.
