Software Engineer - Java with AWS

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer specializing in Java, Spring Boot, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to work full-time primarily from Hyderabad, also considering Bangalore or Chennai locations. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of professional experience and will hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. This role requires designing, building, deploying, and managing scalable cloud-native applications and microservices using modern development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance applications using Java and Spring Boot framework.
• Create RESTful APIs and microservices ensuring adherence to best software practices and standards.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable code and conduct thorough code reviews to maintain quality.
• Identify and troubleshoot application issues and enhance performance.
• Develop and operate cloud-native applications on AWS utilizing services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, and CloudWatch.
• Ensure applications are scalable, secure, reliable, and highly available.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and optimize application resource use and performance.
• Engage in architecture planning, designing microservices-based systems, and applying distributed system principles.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Analysts, QA, and DevOps within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
• Support deployment activities and maintain thorough documentation and knowledge sharing.

Mandatory Qualifications and Skills

• 5 to 8 years of experience in Java-based application development, proficient with Java versions 8, 11, and 17.
• Practical experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Proven skills in RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Substantial experience operating AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, and CloudWatch.
• Strong SQL database proficiency and experience with Git version control.
• Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle.
• Comfortable working within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Knowledge of Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Event stream processing with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Understanding of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• AWS Developer Associate or Solutions Architect certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with monitoring systems like Prometheus and Grafana.
