Role Overview

This role centers on developing and enhancing PF Scout, Property Finder's AI-driven conversational property search tool that blends search technology, AI, and core marketplace functionality. As a full-stack engineer, you'll manage the full lifecycle of impactful features, from crafting user interfaces and APIs to backend data processing, search and AI integrations, reliability, and operational scaling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy complete features for PF Scout using TypeScript, Node.js, and React frameworks.
• Manage all phases of feature delivery including design, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvements driven by user feedback.
• Handle data-intensive challenges such as search, retrieval, ranking, caching, and working with large property datasets.
• Build AI-powered product elements involving large language models (LLMs), tool invocation, streaming, conversational state management, and fallback strategies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, data experts, and fellow engineers to simplify complex user challenges into reliable and effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years in software engineering with hands-on experience developing consumer-grade applications in production environments.
• Expertise in TypeScript and Node.js backend frameworks like Express.js or NestJS.
• Competency in building modern frontend applications using React or similar technologies such as Next.js.
• Experience working with search engines or data-heavy systems like OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, or Redis including performance optimization and debugging.
• Strong understanding of software maintenance, testing practices, system design principles, and production reliability.

Preferred Skills

• Background in constructing applications supported by LLMs, including features like tool/function calls, streaming, structured data outputs, session state management, and caching.
• Familiarity with cloud AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI/Gemini, or OpenAI.
• Experience with AWS cloud-native infrastructures (ECS/EKS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, CloudFront, RDS, ElastiCache).
• Previous work on marketplaces, search services, recommendation engines, or consumer platforms at scale.
