About the Role
ClanX is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their Bengaluru office and contribute to building robust backend systems for AI-driven enterprise products. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining production-grade backend services and APIs. The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years' backend development experience, preferably in startup environments, and thrives in fast-evolving situations where ownership and iteration from scratch are crucial.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and support backend systems powering Dodge AI's offerings.
- Manage feature development lifecycle end-to-end, from conceptualization through production deployment.
- Implement reliable APIs, integrations, and underlying infrastructure components.
- Tackle challenging engineering tasks, particularly related to AI-enabled enterprise workflows.
- Conduct debugging efforts in production to enhance system stability and performance.
- Partner effectively with product and engineering teams to simplify and resolve unclear problem statements.
- Drive improvements in engineering methods as the product and team scale.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least three years of experience as a software engineer with strong backend expertise.
- Solid foundation in software engineering principles and experience building production-level systems.
- Prior work in startups or similarly fast-paced product environments is highly desirable.
- Comfortable taking initiative in undefined, emerging problem areas.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
- Collaborative approach to working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Open to building products from the ground up and iterating rapidly based on feedback.
- Willingness to work onsite at the HSR Layout office in Bengaluru.
