Position Overview
As a Senior Golang Engineer focused on DevOps Enablement, your core responsibility will be to architect, develop, and deploy internal tools and services that support the development organization.
- Develop and implement services primarily using Go.
- Oversee the full deployment lifecycle, including maintaining Helm charts and direct interaction with Kubernetes clusters.
- Manage infrastructure related to these services using Terraform.
- Be accountable for running the services you create, including handling on-call responsibilities.
- Enhance existing internal services, integrations, and broader tooling frameworks.
- Engage closely with development teams considered as your internal clients, contributing to other system areas as needed.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience and proficiency in Golang, being the primary programming language in your role.
- Experience constructing complex backend systems and APIs.
- Skilled in Kubernetes and Helm for deploying and managing services within clusters.
- Competent with Terraform for infrastructure management around your services.
- Fluency in working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and key-value stores like Redis.
- Advanced AI skills (level 3): applying AI beyond basic tasks to complex problem solving, including retrieval-augmented generation and evaluating model ROI.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
- Experience using GitLab CI for continuous integration pipelines.
- Background in developing internal developer tools.
