Purchase Engineer

Role Overview

The Purchase Engineer will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, ensuring optimal procurement processes, and supporting inventory management to facilitate smooth operations.

Primary Duties

• Identify and assess potential vendors and suppliers to establish reliable partnerships.
• Evaluate supplier proposals based on pricing, quality, delivery schedules, and vendor dependability.
• Negotiate contract terms and pricing agreements to secure mutually satisfactory arrangements while maintaining strong supplier relations.
• Track purchase orders actively to guarantee timely receipt of goods and resolve any logistical challenges in collaboration with suppliers.
• Inspect incoming materials for quality compliance and coordinate with quality assurance and operational teams to ensure standards are upheld.
• Input detailed order information such as vendor names, quantities, prices, and other relevant data into procurement or ERP systems to maintain accurate records.
• Maintain thorough documentation of purchases, vendor contacts, delivery timelines, and invoicing for reporting and analysis purposes.
• Generate procurement reports highlighting cost savings, expenditure patterns, and supplier performance for management review.
• Monitor inventory levels vigilantly and initiate procurement to replenish stock before reaching critical lows.
• Collaborate closely with warehouse personnel to ensure correct storage, handling of materials, and communicate delivery expectations and storage instructions.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering disciplines.
