Role Overview
The Process Engineer will be vital in designing, enhancing, and qualifying Back End of Line (BEOL) optical processes within a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing context. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing data, conducting hardware characterization, diagnosing engineering problems, and preparing comprehensive technical documentation. The role also involves direct collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and solve complex challenges in semiconductor and display processing.
Key Duties
- Develop and optimize BEOL optical processes to achieve targeted yield, performance, and reliability standards.
- Collaborate with module engineers specialized in etching, deposition, and lithography to boost device and manufacturing yield.
- Engage with cross-functional teams such as device integration, defect reduction, reliability, quality assurance, and customer support to address milestones and technical issues.
- Design and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to resolve intricate process engineering challenges and mitigate yield or performance concerns.
- Generate detailed reports on various experimental process engineering efforts within safety protocols.
- Apply hardware characterization techniques across multiple product lines to support process improvement within safety guidelines.
Functional Expertise
- Experience in BEOL optics or semiconductor fabrication processes is preferred.
- Demonstrates advanced expertise within specialized engineering disciplines relevant to the role.

- Analyze internal and external challenges and recommend best practices to enhance products, processes, or services.
- Potential to lead medium-complexity projects or functional teams, managing resources and risk appropriately.
