About the Role

As a Pricing Analyst at IAG New Zealand, you will leverage data, curiosity, and analytical skills to deliver insights that influence portfolio growth and performance. Collaborating with seasoned pricing professionals, you will contribute to key pricing projects that benefit customers and the business alike. The role offers a permanent full-time position based in Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pricing analysis and perform operational pricing tasks to support portfolio outcomes and align with strategic goals.
  • Execute rate reviews and respond to ad hoc pricing requests, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Track and analyze portfolio performance after pricing changes to pinpoint trends and generate actionable insights.
  • Develop and interpret analytics to aid in improving business metrics and promoting profitable portfolio growth.
  • Work closely with various business stakeholders to grasp priorities and assist in effective decision making.
  • Support risk management, ensure compliance, and uphold pricing principles and governance standards.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, science, or a related analytical subject.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with talent for deriving meaningful conclusions from data.
  • Excellent communication skills paired with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and capability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and enthusiasm for expanding analytical expertise.
  • Familiarity with analytical tools like R, SAS, SQL, or Tableau, or a demonstrated willingness to develop these competencies.
  • Previous experience in a comparable analytical role is advantageous but not mandatory.
