Material Handler

Role Overview

Avantor is looking for a Material Handler to become part of their onsite team based in Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland. This position is well-suited for individuals with backgrounds in retail, supermarkets, hospitality, customer service, or store environments, although no prior laboratory expertise is necessary as comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Duties

• Manage receipt and processing of incoming deliveries.
• Ensure stock is replenished across laboratory and other operational zones.
• Perform inventory counts and regular stock assessments.
• Track inventory levels and flag replenishment requirements.
• Maintain effective communication and build solid relationships with internal customer teams.
• Adhere to site protocols and keep precise records of inventory and stock handling activities.

Candidate Profile

• Experience is essential in retail, supermarket, hospitality, customer services, stockroom, warehouse, or store settings.
• Strong customer service capabilities combined with excellent communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational abilities and high attention to detail.
• Comfortable and adaptable when working in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Must hold a full driving license and have access to a personal vehicle for commuting.

Work Schedule

This role involves a rotating 12-hour daytime shift system structured over two weeks:

• Week 1: Work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Off Wednesday, Thursday
• Week 2: Work Wednesday, Thursday; Off Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be able to work onsite in Limerick.
• Preference for applicants from retail, supermarket, hospitality, or other customer-focused sectors.
