Overview
Step into a leadership role overseeing talented security engineering teams at a top global financial services institution. As Manager of Security Engineering within Cybersecurity and Technology Controls, you will guide multiple teams through daily operations, ensuring compliance with standards, fulfilling business requirements, and implementing tactical best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clear guidance to security engineering team members on daily responsibilities, setting expectations for results, practices, and teamwork.
- Drive adoption of enterprise-approved AI tools to boost security engineering efficiency and quality, emphasizing human validation and sensitive data protection.
- Identify and manage dependencies with other teams to deliver products consistent with business objectives.
- Maintain stakeholder relationships, ensuring the team's output aligns with compliance standards, service agreements, and business needs.
- Implement reuse-first approaches for AI-assisted workflows, guaranteeing traceability, auditability, and security resilience.
- Oversee team's execution and deliverables while supporting recruitment, onboarding, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
- Institutionalize secure-by-design methods such as threat modeling, secure coding, dependency management, and security testing within SDLC/CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage delivery planning including roadmap creation, backlog prioritization, agile ceremonies, and timely, quality outputs.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Formal education or certifications related to security engineering, software engineering, or equivalent fields with over 5 years of hands-on experience.
- Proven expertise managing engineering teams delivering security operations and product solutions.
- Experience leading teams utilizing enterprise-authorized AI in security workflows with strong practices for validation and data sensitivity.
- Ability to critically assess AI-driven security recommendations ensuring alignment to security, resiliency, and compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing technology projects and technical personnel.
- Strong proficiency with automation and continuous delivery processes.
- Advanced knowledge of software engineering tools and best practices.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Advanced experience with SDLC automation, DevOps, AWS cloud services, Infrastructure as Code, Java, Python, and AI agent development.
- Certifications in cybersecurity and cloud technologies are advantageous.
