Manager - Digital Design & BIM

Role Overview

The Manager - Digital Design & BIM plays a crucial part in the Design Excellence division within the Central Development Unit (CDU). The CDU acts as a centre of excellence focused on establishing standards and promoting consistency across complex development projects by providing essential tools and workflows that ensure delivery best practices.

Design Excellence upholds the unique identity of projects under the 'Qiddiya-ness' philosophy by standardizing design quality measures program-wide.

Within the Digital Design & BIM team, this role is responsible for setting and maintaining BIM guidelines, overseeing digital delivery quality compliance, and championing continuous advancements and innovations.

Key Responsibilities

• Embody and enforce the "Safety First" principle by confidently utilizing ‘Stop Work’ authority and actively promoting health, safety, and wellbeing standards.
• Exemplify positive behaviors aligning with Qiddiya's core values consistently in the workplace.
• Lead, coach, and mentor junior personnel to help meet departmental targets, reinforce desired behaviors, and strengthen safety culture.
• Manage digital design procedures guaranteeing strict adherence to BIM standards and SGR methodologies.
• Supervise a team of designers and BIM specialists, offering guidance and support on day-to-day assignments.
• Integrate digital twin concepts within projects to enable efficient data amalgamation and utilization.
• Ensure all BIM policies are followed and regularly validate output quality through systematic audits.
• Produce detailed reports reflecting project progress and operational efficiency, recommending enhancements based on analyzed data.
• Collaborate with clients to comprehend their requirements and incorporate their feedback into digital design deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, Project Management, or closely related fields.
• A Master’s degree is considered advantageous.
• Professional registration or certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer) is beneficial.
• Minimum of seven years relevant experience in engineering design, particularly with developers, contractors, or consultancy firms.
